My interests include: The Vampire Diaries, Klaroline, Harry Potter, Dramione, Disney, Pretty Little Liars, The 90's, YouTube, Fanfiction/ FanVids/Manips and so much more.
I think what makes me most mad about the werebabies plot line of The Originals is Hayley. I actually really love Phoebe Tonkin. I was a huge fan of her on H2O and she was great on The Secret Circle. When she came onto TVD to play Hayley, I was actually really excited. She is sassy, sexy, and shows vulnerability with all of her characters. At first, I really liked her character. I felt that Forwood was getting boring and I was excited that it seemed like Tyler and Hayley were going to get together because I think they have awesome chemistry.
Boy was I let down. Not only did the writer try their hardest to make Hayley as unlikable as possible, but they gave her no redeemable qualities and inconceivable storylines. Why are we supposed to care about someone who delivered 12 of her closest friends to the slaughter? Why would Klaus not kill her on sight after she singlehandedly engineered a plot to turn all his hybrids against him and is the reason he was forced to kill said hybrids which were the one thing he wanted most? Why would Hayley have sex with Klaus when she is in love with Tyler? Why would Klaus have sex with Hayley when he hates her and is in love with Caroline?
Hayley’s only redeemable quality has been that she cares about Tyler. If they wanted her to have such a pivotal role in the spinoff, why did the writers try so hard to make us hate her? Why would they tease us with Klaroline for over 2 seasons and just let it end for no reason? If they really wanted to do a baby storyline in The Originals, they could have given Caroline the cure and then had her get magically pregnant with Klaus’ 1000 year old sperm instead of Hayley. Wouldn’t change the fact that the baby storyline is stupid and makes no sense but at least we would care about the characters.
I was ok with the spinoff meaning the potential end of Klaroline because it meant that my favorite characters all got more screen time. Now I feel that there is nothing left for me on either show.
